Join us for our upcoming DIY hands-on classes on July 23rd using the bounty of our local products and stay tuned for a new topic in August!

Goats on 5th, Part 1 – Lactic Cheeses – 11am-1pm

Jack Ford of Taj Farms making fresh ricotta

Our morning workshop will start off covering the making of lactic cheese, like chevre, the many variations that can be made with chevre and its byproduct whey. Meet the goats that give us the milk for these cheeses and learn about how the goat and what she eats impacts the cheeses. Enjoy a tasting of cheeses to inspire your taste buds while learning about the ancient methods of cheese making used to preserve milk.

Class space is limited. Once class fills, a waitlist will start. If the waitlist gets long enough, there is a possibility a second class will be added.

Saving the Seasons – Tomato Jarring – 2-4pm

Learn about preserving the season’s bounty with another homestead art – jarring tomatoes!  We will learn the “French Method” of cold packing the tomatoes from our local farms along with seasonal ingredients to capture summer in a jar.

Class space is limited. Once class fills, a waitlist will start. If the waitlist gets long enough, there is a possibility a second class will be added.

Please register separately for the two classes.
$25 per class.
