The Berry Good Food Foundation is thrilled to announce that we won six awards at the San Diego Press Club’s 44th Annual “Excellence in Journalism” Awards last week!

All six awards were related to BGFF’s Future Thought Leaders panel discussions that explored the topics of sustainable seafood, the ethics of meat production, food waste, and food justice.

Nearly 1,200 entries were submitted in daily, non-daily, magazine, radio, TV, and college media categories; and more than 538 awards were presented in 188 categories. Judges included reporters and editors who are members of press clubs in other major U.S. cities, including New Orleans, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Tulsa, San Francisco and Denver, as well as statewide press clubs in Alaska and Florida.

Special thanks to co-recipients Joe Vecchio of KFMB – 760AM and the University of California Television, which films and streams videos of our panels online with 1 million combined views and counting!

Join us at our next panel discussion on November 15th: “Behind ‘Farm to Table’: The Labor of Farming” at Kitchens for Good. Please register for your free ticket.
