April 14, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
| $25Spend an afternoon with Chef Drew Deckman—of Deckman’s en El Mogor in Baja’s Valle de Guadalupe—discovering the techniques, tastes and philosophy behind a passionate culinary journey spanning more than three decades across Europe and the Americas.
Discover how his principles of supporting local growers and purveyors have helped the Slow Food movement find a permanent foothold in our community.
We look forward to having you at this wonderful celebration of the Spring terroir as we delve into topics ranging from sustainable seafood to paying homage to the vegetable as the star of the plate.
***Due to high demand, Chef Deckman will teach two classes on April 14: 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.***

The Berry Good Food Academy, the culinary education arm of the Berry Good Food Foundation, hosts hands-on cooking classes every third Sunday of the month from February through October at the state-of-the-art Studio Kitchen by Specialty Produce in San Diego.
Taught by a variety of community chefs and food artisans, the experience brings us close to the source for local and sustainable products, strengthens the community through shared experiences, and encourages us to look for relationships instead of labels.
