As the second offering under the Food as Medicine series this year, Dr. Angie Neison MD will be bringing her thoughtful, nutrient-dense recipes to Studio Kitchen on Sunday, March 15.

Dr. Neison is a board-certified family physician who practices culinary medicine with her patients every day. Together with another medical partner, Dr. Neison leads a series of classes for patients with diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or a prior heart attack who could benefit from lifestyle modification.

She is a firm believer that wellness starts in the kitchen. Her family friendly meals aim to bring connection for families despite our busy lives. Her goals are to empower families to eat for both human and planetary health. We are thrilled to share in her mantra of mindfulness in the kitchen!

These classes sell very quickly (the February class is sold out) so don’t wait too long if you are interested!

Please use #BGFAcademy when posting on social media about this event so the community can follow along.

The Berry Good Food Academy, the culinary education arm of Berry Good Food, hosts hands-on cooking classes every third Sunday of the month from February through October at the state-of-the-art Studio Kitchen by Specialty Produce in San Diego.

Taught by a variety of community chefs and food artisans, the experience brings us close to the source for local and sustainable products, strengthens the community through shared experiences, and encourages us to look for relationships instead of labels.
